Well, I'm now officially only half as wise as I was on Wednesday night.
The nice dentist at the Dental Hospital in town took away my left wisdom tooth on Thursday morning. Seems that the work they did on it in April to try and straighten it (and let me keep it) was all for nought: it got infected and had to be removed.
They have to sedate me because I can't handle the frequency coming from their drill. Like a dog's reaction to a dog whistle. Horrible, nasty, ear shattering, brain melting noises from that thing. So to stop me having panic attacks in the chair, they knock me out before they turn it on.
I actually have no recollection of the tooth being removed at all. I remember sitting in the chair and him telling me what he was going to do...and then I woke up and went home :)
It's a little hinky to know that I've lost roughly an hour and a half of my life to something I can't remember, but it's much better than having them call in medics when I have a panic attack, hyperventilate and pass out in the chair!
